Our vision is to bring sustainable and innovative concepts into people's living rooms. With WYE (pronounced: why) we have created a brand with high standards of design and quality at fair prices. Thanks to our wood material Neolign® and a special return cycle, the products can be 100% recycled.
Neolign is created by upcycling wood chips from industrial waste and consists of 83% PEFC certified wood fibers, which are combined with special color pastes and polymers. No harmful emissions are released in the process. Since it is also a high-quality and durable material, our furniture is also often used outdoors. With every WYE product, the use of solid wood, as well as CO2 and resource consumption, is reduced. The products in the |chamfer| collection can be used in a variety of ways and take the compact living trend into account, as their dimensions also fit into small apartments. For this, we were awarded the design prize for "Furniture & Product" at the Blickfang trade fair in Hamburg in 2020.

What motivated you to become a designer?
As an intrinsically motivated person, creating and designing has always been a part of me. As a designer, I also have the opportunity to think about products holistically and thus the chance to make a socially, ecologically and culturally relevant contribution - my job gives me great satisfaction.
What does “good design” mean to you?
Good design fulfils the task assigned to the product. It should create added value for society and our environment.
Have you received any design awards? If so, which ones and for which products ?
We were recently very pleased to receive the Blickfangdesignpreis 2020 for our first collection Chamfer!
How can one imagine your studio/workshop?
After using an incubator for our project for a while, we will soon be moving into our first studio in a restored, listed farm in the foothills of the Alps. A very strong, inspiring place close to nature.
