Christiane Köhne
As a trained goldsmith and qualified designer, I design and make all of the jewelry myself in my workshop in Stuttgart. This is where craftsmanship meets design: I am passionate about designing and implementing original ideas by working with my own hands. A special feature of my work is the combination of wearable and at the same time unusual designs, which arises through the cross-pollination of different design disciplines.
Small series, unique pieces, individual jewelry: I want to create concise and fresh designs for you that will brighten up your everyday life or highlight special occasions.
What motivated you to become a designer?
To go beyond the limits of the craft aspect of goldsmithing and pay more attention to design and ultimately to make your own 'cool shit' that doesn't exist yet.
How did you feel when you held your first finished product in your hands?
Proud as punch. The experience of one's own creativity is indescribable, electrifying and meaningful and brings happiness.
What makes your products so special?
From the first idea to the final finish, everything is in my hands. For certain collections, I also use a unique historical technique, guilloché. A characteristic of my pieces is the combination of wearable and at the same time unusual designs, which arises through the cross-pollination of the different design disciplines in which I work.
